The Giants used cover one as its base defense today. I don't know if that is how they've played all season but it was pretty effective against us.
They mostly lined up with a single high safety and press coverage against the receivers. The defenders in the middle of the field also played closer to the front line and dropped into shallow coverage zones.
The plan was clearly to get max pressure against the QB to force short throws into tight coverage.
Kyren had success rushing the ball, but Stafford struggled, and I would bet that the Rams see a lot of this defensive alignment should they make it into the playoffs.
