Morris may be doing one of his best coaching jobs. He has taken a gutted D, assembled a bunch of rookies and 2nd year guys, and guys who probably won't even be on the team next season, and made them into a tough, credible unit. We're not getting a pass rush NOT because he's not creative; it's because we don't have good enough players. And there is not one darn thing he can do about that.
And, while this wasn't part of your post, I have to comment on others who ragged on Noteboom and Jackson. They were playing perhaps the #1D in the NFL and held their own. Neither was a turnstyle, and neither was physically overwhelmed. No one is celebrating them as All-Pros. But they overall did a good job as did our entire Oline. You can't do as good as good a job as our Oline did if our OTs played like crap.
