Athletic Story on QB visualization tool used by LSU

Sorry for posting an article behind a pay wall but this story is just too cool.

A couple of dudes form Germany built a virtual reality tool using AI and Bio Mechanics that would help the QB make decision quicker. They worked with a couple of the LSU to get very specific around the nuances of the LSU offense and their specific plays. After getting to tool ready to be tested they gave it to Daniels the QB before the Miss. St. game. Coach would call out the plays which were loaded on an IPad and Daniels would call them out in the virtual huddle and go to the LOS. Coach would put a Miss St. Defense and then the play would be on and the Daniels would see the field and make play. They also sped up the timing to force quicker decision making.

After using the tool for a number of games the coach asked Daniels how much this helped him and he said 75 to 80%. Wow think about it no risk of injury, lots of QB reps without even breaking a sweat. Think also how you can get your 2nd and 3rd string QB prepared for the game in case of injury.

Anyway seems like this may be an amazing emerging technology that can morph to other positions. Right now I would say it is an advanced prototype.
