ANYONE could apply and have a chance. I remember about 20 years ago, a sweet old lady, around 65 -70 years old, won a chance. Before the contest, they showed her CATCHING a punt, fired from a Pitching Machine, before the game for practice. BUT...For the actual chance at the Half...The A HOLES sped up the machine and LAUNCHED the ball 20 yards over her head??? LOLOLOL I remember the crowd BOOOOOOING the hell out of the contest. The Announcer said DESMOND HOWARD could not have fielded that punt! When a Rep from Dr Pepper gave her a Consolation check for a thousand or something, the crowd LET HIM HAVE IT!! That sweet lady was a Rock Star for a few moments.
