JJ could likely use another year with Harbaugh.
Because he's been mentioned widely on this board as a top prospect, I've been watching JJ McCarthy in his last 3 games (Penn St., Maryland, and Ohio St.).
I'm not quite understanding how he's considered a 1st Round prospect.
Maybe I picked the wrong 3 games, but I see a "game-manager" who's benefitting ALOT from Michigan's very strong rushing attack. Heck, he hardly threw the ball in the PSU and Maryland games and I'm not sure any of the passes he threw against Ohio St. traveled over 15 yards (but the 1 TD pass he threw last week was sweet).
Does he not have any talent on the outside? He only seemed to target the TE (which may have been by design as they had a mismatch there).
But I only see an NFL back-up.
What am I missing?
