Here's my take on the Wentz signing......

First, Wentz thoughts on this. Why he came to L.A.

He's going to be Baker Mayfield the 2nd.....An NFL Veteran QB trying to get his mind right and show the league he can still play the position. "IF" he gets to that point, then he'll negotiate with the Rams on a fair contract to backup Stafford until he retires, then takes over as the Rams QB.

McVay's thoughts on this......

He's sick and tired of "trying" to get rookie QB's up to starter level with NO RESULTS. He's better with Veteran QB's that have already had success in the NFL. Now, get Wentz back to looking like an NFL starting QB, then Rams are in business. Why?

Next years Draft, you take care of other positions (Like a Gurley type STUD RB or Top LT or Elite WR to pair up a 3 headed monster with Kupp and Puka.) The Rams can even trade down to pick up more top level picks in RD1-RD2.

Keeping Wentz on the roster next year behind Stafford allows the Rams A LOT OF FLEXIBILITY, and McVay some much needed peace of mind knowing he has 2 QB's that can play at the NFL level.
