Is that one of the areas where McVay deserves criticism is the special teams units, where he has consistently not stacked them for success. Half of teams excellence starts with prioritization of teams potency with the bottom of your roster. But McVay mixes in upside in his bottom roster cuts moreso than other coaches who tend to do better with special teams.
Also he had a falling out with one of the best ST coaches in the league, and that coach just kicked his most recent ST hire's butt in the Dallas game.
