if Stafford is able to step on the field again this season.
Minnesota needs a vet QB after the Cousin injury if they want to have any hope to fly with the Niners, Eagles , Cowgirls for a shot at the NFC title.
O´connell knows Stafford and they have worked together successfully.
Cousins contract runs out at the end of the season anyway so they can afford Stafford cap wise for 2024.

Makes a ton of sense for both teams IF Stafford is healthy enough.
