When Springer was the Special Teams Coach at Arizona, Havrisik had his best season albeit, it was a smaller sample size, but his FG Percentage was 90%. Quite frankly, IMO, they went the veteran route with Mayer and it didn't work so I believe they felt they would go younger. Springer must really like Havrisik to make the recommendation. If you recall before Gay the Rams went through 3 kickers in Sloman, then Kai Forbath, who got hurt after one game and then they found Gay. Teams loved Havrisik's leg and he is very confident, I hope it works out because if it doesn't, where do they go from there?
