Anybody notice the offensive playcalling, all game long, on the Vikings side?
Oh no you didn't!! Irony won't be appreciated here.
It doesn't support the over-simplification that abandoning the run is McVay's problem. But to their point, Cousins and that line were both amazing and lucky as he wasn't sacked. They also used mostly zone blocking which stopped being a Rams staple because it stopped working and the offense had to become more multiple. Frankly, though, the Vikings played their best game of the year and Shanny doesn't get up for McConnell the way he does McVay. Besides that...Purdy made several mistakes he hasn't made against anyone until the Browns beat him down. His interceptions felt like...well, Matthew Stafford, only he didn't have Tartt there to drop it.
Regardless, I enjoyed that game immensely, almost as much as if the Rams did it.
