Many people think he passed a lot. He just passed a lot more than the SEC had ever seen prior to 1990. A lot of the "Fun" on his Offense was how the Gators used their running game. It was nothing to see the Gators on 3rd and 1 or 2, go into a two or even THREE TE set with two RBs, with the QB under Center...........and then throw a 15 + yard pass. My favorite run plays was when he'd spread the O WAAAAAAY out. The D's HAD to respect the Players on the field and then the Gators would run. Rarely had a HR run from that formation but it was MONEY for 4-5 yards. My very favorite run play was during the RB , Eric Rhett years......From under Center, the QB would fake a pitch to the RB who was headed in one direction....Rhett / RB would shift in the OTHER direction where the pitch was made. That often went for 10+ yard runs.
NO..Spurrier did very little while at the Redskins. But I thought he ran a pretty bland Offense while there also.
