May I ask how long you've been a Rams fan?
Do you recall Greg Robinson?
He was the LT prospect the Rams drafted #2 overall in 2014 from Auburn. The league (not just the Rams) consensus was that he had all the measurables you'd want at the position and that he could be a Pro Bowl level of player.
He was quite the opposite (to put it mildly).
It was only a year or two into his career when things began to leak out about his time at Auburn and that he really only knew a handful of line calls (significantly less than what was being demanded of him at the professional level). I could never determine, though, if he only knew a handful of calls because that's what all AU taught their linemen...or, it was all that he could mentally handle?
Then, of course, I thought of potential learning disabilities that he may (or may not) have had which stunted his progression.
At any rate, your comments show that there's more to being/developing an offensive lineman than "blowing up" the defender in front of you.
