Well, more than 2, but these are what I’m most puzzled about, currently.
1. He hired a new OL coach that seems to be doing a fine job. Then he drafts Avila in the 2nd. Later he trades for Dotson. There’s now supposedly a new emphasis on physicality and yet McVay lapses into playcalling that virtually ignores the running game (all three were losses, btw).
2. The 2 Ram wins involved a heavy dose of runs. And yet he sometimes seems to forget that critical fact and goes into some kind of pass, pass, pass tunnel vision playcalling. And where the heck is LaFleur when this occurs, anyway?
3. Where are our 12 sets? I want to see Davis Allen get some snaps. Couldn’t hurt our run game plus I think Allen could become a beast if given half a chance.
