Or a shot to even START gelling. But I think we see a change this week. McVay has been called out by a lot of people. And it's nothing he can deny. The proof was in the final score last week.
Boom was crap last year as a starting LT, needs to leave in the middle of games to have himself checked, and will inevitably get injured if history is any indicator of what is ahead. Now he's going to slide over there and be relied upon to hold it down until Jackson returns. So I think that is very bad because Stafford does not like worrying about his blindside. The moment he's got his mind on that blindside rush he starts rushing throws and reverting to his bad habits.
Dotson drove Steelers fans insane with his inconsistency. He is probably our RG. We can hope he's better this time around with this group and under this OL coach, but chances are we're looking at dropoff from what Boom was giving us there over the first couple games.
So to me it feels like this OL is about to unravel. And all it's going to take is Boom limping off the field. Hate being negative here about that too but it is what it is.
