Re: Looks Like Russell Wilson is Finished

Not what he was, certainly. He was playing chronically hurt, getting beat up, running for his life for years while Snyder and Carroll let him do it - because he could.

At the tail-end of his career he could still be a more-than-serviceable pro, a vet leader on a team that needs it, and a clutch player - still - if the team was with him. Last year nobody was with anybody in Denver, and Sean Payton, being the moral Cretin and great leader of men that he is, just let a 70 point egg get laid in his nest.

Wilson could be a more-than adequate placeholder and mentor for a new quarterback. But I doubt much that he'd care to, after his glorious new head coach honors his career-long charitable work for children by telling him to "Quit f-ing kissing Babies!"

Wilson is financally set; this will be his last year. He doesn't need this crap from Sean Payton.
