Instead of pursuing Taylor I'd do something like this:
At this point I'd stall for three more weeks until Coop is back, and then package Akers (if he isn't gone by then) and Van for whatever we could get for the twosome, maybe a developmental player and a future pick, whatever. Maybe with a ham sandwich thrown in, with a dill pickle for good measure. I wouldn't expect much. Do it, and get what you can - but don't remain stuck.
McVay seems to be turning Les loose a bit more this year; he seems to be saying more of "Get me a player who can..." than "Get me this player." Big difference. Let him do his thing here and see what comes of it. I don't think aylor would play along. He'll want too much, and somebody will pay him.
