Blinkscout Game 2 ... 9ers.

Overall we showed we're capable of beating "basically" anyone (haven't seen the Cowboys yet). Tip INT, 4th and goal with 1 second, Tutu getting his feet down, even the lame grounding call ... any one of those three and we could have a different outcome.


The Great

1) Puca breaks rookie reception record ... by SIX? Yes he was exhausted and we can't keep using him like that. We need to bring Demarcus into VJ's spot, but we'll likely have more running room against teams other than the 9ers.

2) Matt's arm. He looks like a pup out there.

3) O line in the first half ... we can argue whether it was the passing game takeover or Boom leaving and I simply don't know which it was or if they were connected.

4) Avila getting his first block on the TD, then sprinting to get a second as Williams gets into the end zone.

5) Tutu's catch through contact ... strong hands ripping it away from a full grown adult.


The Good

6) Purdy can't throw the deep ball. Just need to work with that knowledge.

7) Kyren with four TDs? Man, I whiffed on that pick.

8) Higbee's blocking is just a good time.

9) Alaric Jackson ... how many UDFA starting OLTs are there?

10) Allowing 1 sack through 2 games.

11) Decent run defense, we got gashed bad once and Samuel made some plays, but that's not bad.

12) These guys are rookies that will be better by the end of the season.

13) Having a legit shot at a win without Cooper.

14) Maher basically stabilizing that position.


The Bad

15) Kyren taking his eyes of the ball. Gah.

16) Boom going down. Do we know what happened? Is it bad? Looked like a shoulder?

17) The trash talking after a guy gains 40 yards, simply because I'm confused. I don't understand it.

18) Not enough pressure. I know Donald gets schemed but Purdy needed to be hit more. Even if we give up a drive to do it, we need to hit him. I'm not sure it'll rattle him, I just don't like him.


The Ugly

19) 90 yard drive no Time outs under 2 minutes. Against the 9ers. Again.

20) This Akers junk needs to be over.

21) Van Jefferson is playing for our team, or the other one? I'm done. Trade him for pennies and bring up the PS kids.

22) The intentional grounding rule is being used across the NFL, and it is not okay.


College

23) I like this coming draft. Watched UGA. Offensive line is ... a finishing move.

24) We can likely get a redshirt QB if we fel we need one in the teens, maybe even later, there are so many. Even if McCarthy or Caleb go back to school ... guys like Leonard, Ewers, Penix ... smart and athletic, can make any throw. There are more.

25) The WRs of this bunch may be sneaky good. Like MHJ is the top, and he's looking at the player 0 mark (as is Bowers), but Malik Nabers, Coleman, Odunze, Egbuka, Mcmillan, Moose 3, Franklin, and Antwane Wells are players.

26) D line, especially DT, may also be sneaky good.
