That's become the question for me.
Simple things like veterans day off for B. Allen, the Center.
It looked like they intend to start Colman, but then rest Allen?
It also looks like, yeah, Boom to RG. It's not that Boom can't do it: It's that he's had so few reps. If they are clobbering Akers at the LOS, or middle of the line is getting pushed back into the QB, and that turns into hurries or worse? Just wasn't the visual we'd like to see.
So, one of the "names" we've been sorting along the line won't even be active tomorrow.
Dotson and Anchrum.
Don't think they're both live tomorrow. Perhaps it's not even a concern, but after watching the disaster that was 2022, an ill decision by Coach would be hard to watch.
Some of what I've wrested from other posts, is that they may be looking for bigger size on the inside to operate the "new" run scheme.
Bottom line?
2 things.
1. Consistency from the group. Pre-snap penalties, flags, and consistent protections. It's those cohesive OL hand offs, pulling and getting down field, and just now letting free guys to get at QB1. This is why I don't love a summer where your starting 5 haven't congealed.
2.Sustained drives. Nothing would make me happier to see Akers with 100+ yds, and the stat shows no turnovers by the offense. Grinding out some drives will be just fine by me. Keep this young, perhaps lacking defense off the field.
