One thing Pete Carroll knows how to do is stick with the run, let the OL jump out of their stances and pop someone going forward instead of backing up and holding their ground on pass plays, and let the RB punish opposing tacklers in the secondary.
Maybe it only works for 2-3-4 yards a carry at first - but by game's end, the RB should get longer carries, get his yards, control the clock, and in critical situations get those tough yards against worn-down, beat-up opponents.
It's not finesse football but at some point you have to be able to play it.
Let's hope that Akers is up for it, holds onto the rock, and McVay is persistent with his playcalling.
