I think he was considered a 'reach' when the Rams drafted him in the 3rd. I think he was listed as a 5th-6th round level.

Mixed results on that, but IMO, I think they liked where he played as they had drafted Havenstein & David Edwards from Wisconsin with good results and thought that Bruss was from that ilk. The good thing is poaching Zach Thomas from the Bears as he was their 6th round pick and he can play both G/T so in essence releasing Bruss does not hurt because of Thomas plus Grant Miller has shown well too.

Thomas is the "medicine" that helps alleviate the pain of seeing Bruss not live up to expectations. lol

I think there are many good players being "stashed" on practice squads that are worth investigating and this is a good example.

IMO , having someone that is really good at scouring the other teams PS's can be a very valuable asset. beer cheer smiley

#HelmetHornsMatter

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.

“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
