Well, I can't argue that choice, wouldn't think of trying....

But for me I'd have to say my favorite players were the entire '67 roster. That year took my fandom to an entirely different level.

I had been a Ram fan since the late 50's, an AVID fan... fanatical.... but until '66, then WOW in '67, my Rams were not a top tier team. '67 was similar, for me, to '99 in that I knew from the first game that they were for real. Well, make that from week 2 because in week one they beat the new to football Saints... so that didn't convince me... the following week's victory over the Vikings did.

The Rams finished the regular season of '67 by beating the Packers and the Colts.... how to put that in modern era terms? It was like beating the 2022 Chiefs and Eagles to end the season. Nah, it was MUCH bigger than that. laughing smiley

I knew every player on the '67 roster... (well, all the other seasons previous and after as well until just a few years ago).... they were ALL my hero's. Hell, I thought our #2 QB Munson walked on water. laughing smiley

Fan since, ohhhh, I think '58, might have been '57.... '67 was year the Ram Tablets came down from Mt. Sinai. - JamesJM
