The ones outlined in red are fronts Rams use most
especially TITE (tight 3-4), Penny (5-1), Race (40 nickel), and some Tape (6-1)
but some Odd (base 3-4)
And there are other rush fronts like "Race" not shown...one is Gold, Rams use in pass
rush situations...
The J is Jack backer, but can be played by a linebacker like a Howard or Young or a safety like Rapp, Johnson III or Lake
kind of guy...the "money backer"... the "dime" linebacker is usually a safety, but different coaches call it whatever they want
McVay and others refer to it as "money" "$" ... but it's a WILL/Money but in base is called a lot of things, here it is "Jack"
and that guy can stay in and play all three downs, or be replaced by a quicker LBer or a safety
Here the OLBers a Sam and Will, but can be left- or right if they always stay on same side...all things to look for
but look for these
