It is a 49ers staple, a strong side wide play, one they've made famous

It has a TE come in motion to the play side (sift block)
and the FB lead blocks----it's an outside zone play with
target point inside the TE's block...if team takes it away they can
throw a quick slant

the "8" and the "9" refer to the right and left side the wide holes

here are some examples---and variations

easier to look at...TE motions off tackle...but they can run
same play out of a lot of different formations ... but
it's so simple but if blocked well teams struggle to stop
it ... the QB also carriers out the fake... but the blocking
is the key...an a new OLine coach, and a coach who
may like this play...it may be something we do more often
