I don't think it would have been possible to contractually do those trades but I see what you are saying.

I also would have resigned Gaines, Gay and a few others too but then it really wouldn't be "gutting the team" IMO.

I don't think our whole team has been gutted but the Defense sure feels like it has been.

If somehow we could've traded those guys we would have been a lock for the #1 pick in 2024!
