didn't read the article 43, but Bruss is the type of guy I see as needing to age .....think of what they did to Jackie Slater.
Slater showed a lot more than given credit for, and yet coaches back then made guys sit for seasons on end.
He was a monster back in preseason games, but......
Bruss was not a value from what I saw before going down
Perhaps he's made enormous strides, but I didn't sense last year's position coaches had any time with him before the injury. The injuries to every body we had was catastrophic.
Knox was a hard ass, and an old school 3 a days type.
Even with talent he wasn't about to elevate a rookie.
For Bruss I see him as needing the bench and learning what it takes. No reason to think he's best of 5.
In many ways, they've got a group of guys now that have seen active games, and should be given a nod over essentially the redshirt rookie.
