When they drafted him in 1996. Wore number 45 that season. And I can remember he mainly played FB. Switched to 84/TE in his second year.
I always really liked him. Never put up big numbers but was a very reliable all around TE. Played well in 1997 and early 1998 before getting hurt. With ACL rehabs much longer then he didnt really play in 1999 until late in the season and the playoffs.
Came back and had good seasons for the Rams in 2001 and 2002 before heading to New Orleans.
College TE, but considered too short. They wanted him as lead blocker, never took---moved him to the edge end of rookie season and left him
there until end of career.
He was a solid player, that's for sure.
