Jones is a good and ascending player. No question. And I think he can handle that 1,000+ snaps that Wagner gave them.
But, as the article says, the two combined played 1,800 snaps. So who is coming in and playing 500-700 snaps next to Jones? They're nice ST guys but I don't see guys like Hummel and Rozeboom as remotely close to starting NFL ILB.
And when they do use 2 ILBers could use a money backer type---a smaller guy, a safety ...
2022 was the change then went more 2 ILBers than in past to accommodate both Wagner and Jones.
They Jones will be on the field all the time and take Wagners MIKE snaps, and several guys
will play the snap Jones did, a LBer and S---maybe even one of the rookies--they'd be a fit
