I don't see Evans as the guy you build up in your mind until there's an expectation for him to live up to his potential. Because he didn't live up to his potential in college. Also he was unreliable and left his team after telling them he was going to stay up until the last minute, so to me he's the personality type that you cannot trust. And he paid by sliding in the draft, so not trying to beat him up here because I don't want to be unfair to him but his history is there.
What he is: a darkhorse with real talent. Can he find the maturity or whatever it was that he was lacking in college while he's with us. Remains to be seen but I think a guy like him is best served to be overlooked not sold in the media and trumpted out there as the answer at RB. Not that it really matters but it just bugs me.
