Again, I'd suggest people look at the video Ransjunkie posted. It shows the role of the
moneybacker---he called it a dime, which is fine...some coaches call it a dimebacker
as opposed to a dime back and some call it a money or even a Jack (gets
a bit confusing because Jack can also be something else)
Anyway, a smaller LBer (Howard, Kenny Young) or a hybrid S/LBer who can
take the RB to the flat or a hook zone plus make tackles in the run game
is great. Coverage skills enough to break on balls but not give up too much
in running game.
Always a tough balance to strike. Do you play a John Johnson there? A Taylor Rapp?
A Howard or Young? Or a guy like this? Or a Earnest Jones? Or a Hollins?
Rams have used all of them as the sidekick to the MIKE.
Now Jones is the MIKE and need a good sidekick.
