Wentz would cost too much money (when we have none) to ride the pine.
We already have a cheaper vet, if needed, and an open look in camp at what Bennett can bring. Plus a camp arm or if needed in Cookus, two.
I like who Wentz is as a man and as a player, but not for the Rams right now. Besides I'm not sure how his style of play would adapt to the Rams game.
I'd rather spend the same bucks on a journeyman vet DB - preferably big enough to play against SF and Seattle's big wideouts, or a solid nose tackle, or an OLB - someone like that who will see the field more and mentor the youngsters around him when on the field and full-time in practice.
