Just imagining a Greg Zuerlein NFCCG type of situation where we need a clutch kick from distance. The ability to get points on those 50+ yard kicks instead of having to punt can be critical in big games.
On the flip side, perhaps that also changes the way Mcvay calls that third and long play, no more give up plays thinking its fine we will kick it. Now with the worry about 50+ kicks he may actually call a play to get within that distance.
