Yeah, well that's what the tape and personal interaction is for.
PFF in college is less important in my opinion because the talent/schools are wide ranging.
So who you play against is much more impactful to the numbers.

Could be worse.. get a small school player that has miserable PFF scores.
Then you'll really be looking at tape going.. what do our scouts see?
