This is why I believe the Rams have essentially "given up" on 2023

Not that they won't work hard at improving the roster in any way feasible, or that McVay won't try to work play calling magic, but they have to have numbers to fill the roster this year.

That means more draft picks and UDFA's, maybe (er, MAYBE) lower level FA's.

If value is still there around each Rams draft pick, then trade downs will almost certainly occur because there are so many positions of need.

I wouldn't doubt if the Rams trade down 3 times.
