And Donald for a 3rd rounder and we'll eat some of his salary this year. (He's older and has a huge cap figure).
Maybe the Jets can still take Stafford instead of Rogers?
Or trade Stafford for Lamar Jackson. We can pay his franchise tag this year and then we don't owe him anything next year. Whether he plays or not, we would have moved on from Stafford and his 50M next year.
I fully expect us to be out of any playoff contention come the trade deadline. Then we will be in heavy converstation with some ot the contenders for guys like Kupp and Donald. And as we have seen the competition for those kind of players will drive up the price.
I can easily see a couple of high draft picks for both guys being offered. Together with the cap relieve the Rams will be huge players in free agency and the draft next season.
It will be a total rebuilt.
