I'm not a lover or strong critic of Morris, but dragging out a 12 year old article to criticize a coach today is not going to win you any credibility. It's a bad look.
Morris has not been a bad coach for the Rams.
And I'm not trying to "win any credibility" Coy but I can see where you are coming from. IMO, you can still learn a lot about someone from their past.
As an example, I have also read a bunch articles on McVay's time in Washington to see if he still has some of the same issues he had there...and he does! lol RZ issues, lack of TE, pass happy at times, etc.
There is an old saying "Those who forget History are bound to repeat it".
I agree that Morris has not been a "bad" coach for the Rams. IMO, he is a mid level DC. Not great, but not horrible either. Pair that with a potent offense and a few HOF'ers and you can win a Super Bowl.
Well, we no longer have a "potent offense" and those HOF'ers are gone. This will be a huge test for our coaches on offense and defense IMO.
With the recent talent loss on the defensive side of the ball, we might need a little better than "mid" to win some games this year. I am hoping the additions of Lake and Pleasant will help Morris grow out of his "Shell". They all will have their work cut out for them.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
