and plays a final season or two Rams could get some picks
Were we really any worse while he was out last year? If so, I bet it wasn't by much. It looked to me like AD might have been "less than" enthused to keep playing once the season was lost anyway and also contemplated retirement.
AD's strength has been his ability to "rush the QB" and in the Ultra Soft scheme Morris plays, the ball is out before AD can even get close.
IMO, now that we are down 2 hof'ers the odds of AD having more success in the Charmin Shell is not very high even if he is the GOAT.

If McVay continues to let Morris run that Ultra Soft Shell as much as he has been, we might as well see what we could get for AD at the trade deadline.
Let AD finish out his career with a DC that will actually "help" him instead of making AD's job harder and waste AD's talents. If AD does want to keep playing I bet he would be ok with a trade. It would be his best chance of getting another DPOY award too. As long as he's in our Charmin Shell, I don't see him ever getting another DPOY as a Ram.
Of course, AD holds all the cards thanks to the contract he signed. IMO, if AD isn't traded by the deadline, I think he retires after this year.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
