I don't think this is a big revelation. On broadcasts they point out that the Rams have a huge undrafted part of the roster. We have traded our firsts for pricey All Pros, draft middle rounders and shore up depth with promising later rounders and undrafted players. But, it takes a lot of great coaching to turn raw talents into future starters and this is really where the Rams have lost talent. Their best coaches get snapped up to receive promotions from other teams. Several have become head coaches. And it can be just as hard or maybe harder to replace great coaches as it is players. There are fewer of them. McVay just had a press conference where he spoke at length of all the new assistants he just hired. It was a long list. He thinks he did well in these hires. That's great. Because he knows that great coaching leads to winning football.
Maybe an article on the coaching turnover would be more appropriate.
