Needed to trade him by Wednesday to get under the cap and probably felt this is all they could get with his contract over $20 mill a year. I have mixed feelings but think they have a plan and it was to get rid of Ramsey and ARob by 3/15

Here's my question: It's been reported that Ramsey's contract was one of the few that's been left untouched in terms of restructuring. Why wouldn't the Rams simply restructure his contract to get under the cap and then see where the market was at the trade deadline?

I don't think we would've done much worse.

He wanted a new contract. They didn't wanna be tied to him long term. Sounds like there was no guarantee he would play without a new contract

Will the Rams brain trust learn from this?
