I'm oversimplifying of course but at the essence that's what they have to be able to do.
Score more. Better (and healthier OL). Keep Stafford healthy and productive. Run the ball well. Far fewer 3-and-outs. Get back to scoring 25+ PPG.
And defensively, rush the passer. Period. A good pass rush can and will cover up a lot of warts. At safety, for example, they might draft someone but I think they have to go into the season with Fuller, Lake and Yeast as the top 3 guys. You just do. If the offense is more efficient and you can get to the QB more regularly, those guys can be fine at safety. If not- look out...
Two edge guys- one to team with Hoecht on one side and one on the other- for sure. And two CBs (regardless of if Ramsey goes or not). Start there.
