Re: 6 (failed) 2022 Rams experiments that deserve a 2023 mulligan…

There's reason for hope and optimism for all 6 of those guys. And I wouldn't call any of them failed experiments.

I'm optimistic about Williams as their RB2/3rd down back. Bruss should return and at least be a top interior backup while competing with Anchrum and Brewer for the starting RG spot. And he's a guy that Wendell could really help. Brown can and should be expected to fill the void that losing either Robinson or Gaines creates. And Hoecht certainly can have a role on the edge with some offseason coaching, physical development (shed 15-20 lbs?) etc.

To me the biggest "we'll sees" are Robinson and Akers. Do the Rams give them 2023 or move on from one or both? I'd like to see both back. Akers was very good down the stretch and if he has his head on straight could set himself up for a nice 2024 contract somewhere with a good year in 2023.

Now will they all come through in 2023? Probably not. If 4 of the 6 do play and play well in more elevated roles this year it would be a huge positive for them overall.
