I guess it depends on the 1st rounder.
There is no way I'm trading him for anything less than a 1st and probably a 2nd. If the 1st is in the back 8 or so, I'm looking for 2 firsts, or a 1st and 2 seconds.
So say 1.16 this year and a 2024 2nd
or 1.28 this year and 2. 60 this year and a 2024 2nd
or 1.30 this year and a 2024 1st
I'd really want to get my hands on Joey Porter Jr CB as his replacement. I think he is a middle 1st guy. Cam Smith would be a nice consolation prize.
If those guys are gone, and you are drafting at the end of the 1st. John M. Schmidtz is prolly there, or Mauch and worry about CB later on. Or trade back and start accumulating day 2 picks left and right.
