I have been saying for 5-6 years. Just go back to the late 1970s / early 80s rule book.

The game was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better. There were not 173 interpretations on a simple catch. Each team MIGHT have 4-5 penalties in a game (You get that on one drive) The game was MUCH easier for Refs to call. The NFL has tweaked the game TO DEATH. Yes! Players got hurt in the 70s. Guess what....They are getting hurt more than ever these days. 2022 Rams anyone???
