It has NOTHING to do with play calling (Or VERY minimal). SO many of his receptions are usually late in the play. I think they are almost ALWAYS after he has run his designed play. He simply has the knack to find open spaces after the fact. Mahomes moves around and buys that half extra second to find him.

Yeah, announcers were just talking about that. Lotta non-traditional routes.
