too young to have seen him/them at the time, but I have his and all RAM team cards going back to 1950. Must of been cool as a kid to go to eateries etc. like that in the day owned/operated by those big heros of LA.....I'd love to have that ashtray in my collection of stuff. I have pennants from the 50's, cards, and bobbleheads from the 50's. Some beer glasses with RAM shields on them (think 1950's..they seem styled from that era)......
You guys from that area may take for granted your early days with the team, hope you don't. I have lived on the east side of the USA all my life, and have built my collection the hard way, but fun..when it's not in your back yard things can be fun/lucky to find, even with an eBay around.....of course memories can't be bought......
