You bring up a good point, dude. I’m probably indulging in some wishful thinking here because I want to replace Morris here AND gain those two 3rds as comp picks.

But the Colts are the only team showing ANY interest in Morris and they are so unpredictable and dysfunctional that I doubt that even they know what the hell they’re gonna do. Sigh…

I’m afraid that Rams are stuck with Morris unless McVay ‘promotes’ him by giving him some fancy job title and then hires a better DC while a few are still available.

McVay could even preemptively ‘promote’ Morris now and pursue his preferred DC. Then, if Morris is hired by Colts then hooray and thanks for the comp picks. If Colts go in another direction then Rams eat Morris’ salary and everybody saves face and avoids embarrassment.
