That's why you have to appreciate it. And the talk of expecting them to repeat was always unrealistic. There's good reason that no one has repeated in almost 20 years.
In both 1999 and 2021 it came down to a handful of plays. And their best players made them. But yeah, plenty of opportunities for both those Super Bowl runs to have gone sideways... Plus, last year if Buffalo or KC wins the AFC who knows what happens in the Super Bowl.
The Rams earned that championship last year. Without question. But the stars absolutely have to align to win it all. That's the way it is for most every Super Bowl champion.
