circumstances were due to poor help from his guys in the back side, Rapp way out of place on several occasions...as others as well.
He still makes game changing plays, and like I have said before, if we had 4 JR's back there vs. 4 of anyone else we have there is no comparison. He hit's like a brick, he may get beat straight up at times for sure (who doesn't?), but IMO he still has gas left, you want him doing what Wagner did for us this year for someone else? because that's what he'll do....he'll show out.
He offers so much more than just holding a position. IMO others just look at numbers, those numbers can be skewed by those playing around him.....Kinda in a way that Brockers was looked at as failing because he didn't get sacks....He did things that needed to be done that no one else was doing.....
Keep him here in HORNS, let him help out the young guys another year, bring in a solid CB to take off from him shouldering everything, hope Fuller can come back healthy, Yeast/Lake grow, Scott resign. IN 2024 he goes to S (if he want's to stay) and retire an outstanding S to finish his career out.
