their ILB play was night and day from 2021....

They went from ILB being easily their weakest area a year ago to one of their strongest. Just one data point but Wagner was PFF's #1 rated ILB (including #1 vs. the run and 9th in coverage) while Jones was rated 49th among 84 ILB. A very good duo.

Their issue was the massive dropoff in play on the edge opposite Floyd from Miller. Hoecht certainly was a plus down the stretch and can be a part of the rotation in 2023. But that's what has to be most addressed this spring on defense. Pass rush.
