Does anyone else see a smaller version of Todd Gurley in Jarquez Hunter?by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
I concur in your liking JH, DP. And I do that off my fanometer. When Skattebo was drafted I exclaimed out loud ‘dang’! (I’ve been dropping the ‘d’ word a lot the last few days.). But when I saw the Rams go with Hunter, I did the opposite of dropping the ‘d’ word and went with the ‘a’ word—‘alright’!by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Houston got this years 34th, 99th and a 2026 3rd rounder. I don’t know how many points that totals up to, but they had the 25th pick to the Rams’ 26th and didn’t secure a 1st rounder.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
At the risk of being laughed off the board, I think the closest thing to Todd Gurley at running back in this isn’t even a running back. I think it’s Jalen Milro. Draft him to sit behind Stafford but let him carry the ball out of the backfield. That’s my view from the :couchby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Happy Easter, Ramily Herd Round the World!! Hope you have great blessings and huge joy with your families.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
It would be funny to see a run on TEs in the 1st round and wreck half the teams’ draft board. As long as the Rams get one, it could be a hoot.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
It’s crazy to think Gabriel was QB when I started my Rams’ fandom, but the things been kind of a blur.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
The wife and I drove by the practice facility today. There’s a more permanent fence to the northeast and parking access on the west and north and a decent sized new parking lot. There’s a more permanent looking entry way that leads to the practice facility. Since they’re still using temp buildings, I don’t know how permanent that foyer is going to be. The Promenade still looks like not a lotby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
This defeats getting Stafford’s successor in ‘25 or ‘26 unless they luck out with someone like Howard who ups his game in the NFL from when he was in college in late rounds.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci The Trey Lance pick was maybe my favorite pick ever. I was scared they'd traded up for Pitts. That’s what I thought they were going to do. Kittle and Pitts. Sounds like a dog food, but would have been a deadly tight-end tandem.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Tempting for the Rams to trade down to see if they can pick up a 2nd rounder while staying in the 1st round (probably not possible), but I’m eager to see if they can pull off the patient coup they did last year with Verse: just let all the other teams dog pile on each other drafting for need and then some super stud, like Campbell for example, drops into their laps at pick 26.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

Watched 10 minutes of highlights of Benjamin Morrison and I casually watch some Notre Dame football. He plays tight on the line of scrimmage and has a rare talent to get his head around once the ball arrives to break up or intercept passes. He covered Marvin Harrison Jr. quite well in 2023 and he gave up 3 to 4 inches to him. Willing tackler and has an eye for making plays. As you menby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don’t remember him crying. When did he?by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Good article, but, for some reason, this past week, I’ve been bothered by NFL wives complaining about injuries and potential injuries that their spouses face. So, I got triggered when I read this in the article: “He is on the football field putting his body through an annual onslaught of pain and punishment.” I see this argument as a bargaining ploy as moot. QuoteSoCalRamFan Got this from Over The Cap: Matthew Stafford signed a 4 year, $160,000,000 contract with the Los Angeles Rams, including $60,000,000 signing bonus, $130,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $40,000,000. In 2025, Stafford will earn a base salary of $23,000,000 and a roster bonus of $4,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $49,666,667 and a dead cap value of $49,333,by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNewMexicoRam Take an undervalued contract in order to sign free agents who can make a huge difference. I don't think Brady was ever the highest paid QB in the league while he was playing. Exactly! And Brady still had enough money to become part owner of a team after retirement.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemerlin QuoteAlbaNY_Ram The Rams spending is limited by the cap, not by Kroenke. The cap next year will be around $272.5M and the Rams will likely spend close to it. Stafford could play for $100M with $172.5M split among the rest of the players. Stafford could play for $20M with $252.5M split among everyone else. Kroenke's take is the same either way. I read—probably on the board—that defenses were less likely to stack the box this season than they would for more than half the other teams in the league. So, Kyren, per carry, has to average more yards per carry than other backs since he hasn’t broken off a lot of long runs. What this means is teams will sacrifice Kyren’s 4 to 5 yards per carry to stop the pass—they don’t feel a need to sby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

Music today is just bad. There’s not a lot of exciting new ideas—just rehashes of what worked in the past. We need a new Elvis that breaks the mold of the old one, and just clear the table for a new revolution in music.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

Between our game versus the Eagles and the Chiefs’, is that Philly had a perfectly choreographed rush to the quarterback that kept pressure proportional. What do I mean? It was like a circular shaped wall surrounding the QB that inched closer and closer in perfect sequence giving the QB the sensation of having the walls close in on him in step. To break that, the line has to disjoint thatby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
