I believe the USS Yorktown museum is down there in North Carolina
although the WWII carriers that have been turned into museum they served for several years after WWII , and have had their flight decks reconfigured to handle jets during the 50's and 60's before being retired , so you wouldn't get the full 1940's experience
but I would think the interior of the ships , probably didn't change a whole lot , more modern technology upgrades for it's day , but I would imaging the interior structure of the ship remained mostly unchanged
having spent 3 years on a Nimitz Class Carrier , I always thought it would be cool to tour a WWII era carrier and compare the differences
hope to one day tour the USS Intrepid in New York , or the USS Yorktown in North Carolina , I have a sister that lives in Georgia , the last time I visited her there , we planed on going , but because of time constraints , we never made it
